Agile Project Scheduling Using Points & Team Velocity

Using real examples, this presentation explains how a project could be scheduled using the concepts of "Points" and "Velocity". It is intended for all software developers and project managers working on projects that take more than a few weeks and involve more than a few people. While the concepts in this presentation are not strictly related to the Agile World, they apply best in an Agile environment of Small Increments, Constant Re-Planning, and Adaptable Project Teams.

By the end of this presentation, everyone should:

Kelly Weyrauch is a Senior Principal Software Engineer in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division of Medtronic, Inc. He has 18 years of software development experience covering a wide range of project size (one-person, few-months projects, to 80-person two-year projects), a wide range of process weight (winging it, to the heavily-regulated medical device world), and a wide range of scheduling success (reasonably inaccurate, to wildly inaccurate).
